For MMR, parents generally had positive beliefs about the outcomes of immunising and the perceived evaluations of these outcomes. For MI parents: having enough information; having pre-arranged appointments; having free time; being sent reminders; having support from healthcare professionals; being immunised as a child, were more likely to facilitate attendance (indicated by a significantly higher positive mean score than that of the LMI parents). MI parents were also less likely to believe that their child needed to be ‘100% fit and well’ and were less likely to ‘hate having injections’ (or were less likely to perceive this as a barrier to immunising).
